North Cumbria Hospitals NHS Charity exists to make life better for patients, visitors and NHS staff across North Cumbria. Every donation helps fund projects that are above and beyond NHS budgets, from specialist medical equipment and family facilities to children's play resources, staff wellbeing initiatives and therapeutic environments.
Thanks to the generosity of local people, businesses and fundraisers, we can provide the "extras" that make a real difference to patient care and staff wellbeing. Whether supporting children in hospital, purchasing innovative medical equipment or creating more welcoming spaces for patients and visitors, every gift helps improve healthcare experiences across The Cumberland Infirmary, West Cumberland Hospital and our community sites.

About us
North Cumbria Hospitals NHS Charity supports patients, families and staff at Cumberland Infirmary, West Cumberland Hospital and our community sites. Our mission is simple: to provide funding for projects and equipment that go beyond what the NHS can provide alone. Donations help create better patient experiences, improve clinical services and support the wellbeing and development of NHS staff. Over the years, charitable funding has provided children's play facilities, specialist medical equipment, patient comforts, wellbeing programmes, staff training and welcoming environments that benefit thousands of people every year.
